Christopher was the closest thing I had to a brother. We were raised together, and also fought like any normal family does. He was just telling me this last weekend, he could not understand why I held a grudge towards him for something that happened 16 years ago. I loved that baby tremendously, but from the first words he could say...he lied to get me in trouble. I could be in the other end of the house and he would start crying and tell our moms that I had hit him or pushed him down. He was one of the most important people in my life. He had the hardest head of anyone I could ever imagine. He was also very popular because he had a great heart. He would give to anyone before he saved for himself. He only wanted love and acceptance in return for his selflessness. We had a very special bond that we both grew up without our fathers in our lives. This has made us both stronger and more loving of others. He loved his cars, shooting pool, and just about any sport you could play. He liked his music thumping really loud....much to the dismay of the rest of our family. Chris was taken from us one terrible night...and it has affected many people. He has so many friends, and it has amazed us...his family....how many lives he touched. The hurt will never go away....and we will never forget him or stop missing him. He is at peace now, and better be waiting for me at the "Crossroads."

Do Not Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle Autumn rain.

When you awaken in the mornings hush;
I am the swift upflinging of quiet birds
in circling flight.

I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there.
I did not die.
